About Wedding Photographs 

Wedding Photographs by Robert LaGrow was established in 1981 to provide couples with affordable wedding photography. We are proud to announce that 2008 marks our 27th year in the wedding photography business.

Our non-obtrusive approach to wedding photography is similar to that of a photo journalist which will provide you with a complete photographic record of the wedding day beginning with the bride's final preparations one hour before the ceremony and continue through the last wedding related event at the reception. Included among the photographs are the posed photographs that you would expect to be taken at a wedding along with candids of the wedding party, parents and guests.

Our style and demeanor creates referrals from not only couples that we have photographed in the past but also from several of the Burlington area's finest reception facilities which include (in alphabetical order) Bolton Valley Resort, Hampton Inn, Hilton DoubleTree Inn, Holiday Inn, Sunset Ballroom, The Inn at Essex, Wyndham Hotel, Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center, and from many local entertainment services to include Moonlight Entertainment, Music Revue DJ Service, Supersounds DJ Service and Top Hat DJ Service.

Our $795.00 Basic Package includes a minimum of 150 color photographs (not proofs), unlimited time to photograph the wedding plus...with no further obligation...you get to keep the negatives! There is no extra charge for any photographs above the guaranteed minimum; there is no limit to the number of photographs taken.

An optional add-on to the Basic Package is to have all photographs placed onto Compact Disc (CD) to provide you with both color prints and digital imagery.

A complete line of photo albums is available for both the couple and their parents, however, there is no requirement that you purchase anything beyond than the Basic Package. You may simply take the Basic Package photographs along with the negatives and do anything with them that you wish.

An abbreviated Special Package has been created for smaller weddings and civil unions that will not be hosting a reception. This special package is not available on Saturdays between March 15th and November 15th.

WHY WE DO NOT RECOMMEND DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

It is the desire of every couple to have the ability to view their wedding photographs at any time. We have all seen photographs of our parents and grandparents weddings and would expect that our children and their children will be able to do the same. Changes in technology are occurring so rapidly that the media and the devices used to view the media today may not exist in the future. Unless one retains a device currently available to view the media, changes in technology may prevent that in the future. Beta tapes, VHS tapes, vinyl records, 5" floppy disks, 3" diskettes, 8-track tapes, audio cassettes as well as changes in DVD technology, are all examples of what has already been replaced or is in the process of being replaced with new technology.

It is evident that media available today will be replaced and there are no guarantees that new technology will allow the viewing of images from the past. Photographs produced from negatives will always be a lasting record of the events that occur in one's life. Our answer to filling the desire for digital imaging is the ability to produce a CD that is created by a direct scan of the negatives. This gives couples the ability to utilize todays technology to the fullest extent and insures the ability to meet their demands and desires for the future.
